We love rainbows, we love unicorns, but most importantly, we love the idea that love is love, regardless. With that said, Nike will releasing these new Flyknit Racer sneakers in June 2017 in support of the LGBT community. Featuring a rainbow-hued tick on the outside and another pink tick (oh, how apt!) on the inside of the sneaker, there’s no word yet if Nike stores in Singapore will be carrying these beauties.

Then again, there’s always online shopping (buy online via Nike US and ship over using Borderlinx, for example) and if I’m extremely quiet come June, you’ll know why.

Once you go Flyknit Racer you don’t ever go back. Which was sadly what happened to me when I was first introduced to them earlier this year. Besides being supremely lightweight and truly comfortable on the feet, they have developed a cult status around them, with whole Instagram accounts devoted to Flyknit Racer shoes past and present.

Often sold out as fast as they are released, you then find them on the secondary market selling for twice or even triple their retail, which makes acquiring them both alluring and frustrating at the same time.

But if you have been looking for a pair (they are unisex, by the way), you’re in luck.Over on Nike’s US site you’ll find 4 different pairs still available, from the much-coveted Black/White (otherwise known as the Oreo 2.0) to the new White/Game Royal/Green Strike/Black. And then there are Blue Lagoon/Polarized Blue/Ghost Green/Black and the Bright Citrus/Blue Lagoon/Laser Orange/Black, both slightly older models that are no less popular.

I don’t know how soon these will sell out, but at USD150 a pair, I suggest you find someone in the States who can get you a pair (or 4) pronto before they do yet again.

Nike S/S15 Roshe Flyknit

Categories:Designer Shoes

nike_ss15-roshe-flyknit1From having sworn off anything Nike for the longest time to it being pretty much the only brand I’ve been wearing of late, it has become my go-to shoe for romps around town, sessions at the gym and even when I’m headed for the plane because nothing makes more sense than a pair of comfy sneakers, especially if it’s a long-haul flight.

And if I recall correctly, my love affair with Nike was rekindled while on a press trip to Shanghai last year when we had free time and snuck off to Nike X158, a cool concept store at Xinle Road that had stocked the coolest Nike kicks. 12 pairs later, I can safely say this. If there’s one Nike shoe I can live the rest of my life in, it would be the Rosche Flyknit, which I chanced upon in November when I was in Tokyo.

Lightweight, sleek and featuring a one-piece midsole/outsole, it’s also freaking comfortable to wear, comes in a huge array of colours (ok, some combos do work much better than others) and is quite affordable (SGD199, to be exact) by most standards. More importantly, here are the colour combos that will be available in Singapore for both men and women which will be made available from February 2015 at both Nike Paragon and Nike Shaw.
